This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data, including but not limited to medical, payment details and other information we collect from you or other sources or that you provide to us (“Information”) will be handled by us in connection with your access and use of Okadoc’s website (www.okadoc.com) (the “Site”) and/or the Okadoc mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”), services and applications (collectively, the “Services”). We understand the importance you place on the Information, and we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your Information. By using our Site and Services, you agree to the handling of your Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

References in this Privacy Policy to “we”, “our” or “us” (or similar) are references to Okadoc Technologies FZ-LLC, Dubai Healthcare City, Building 47, office 302, Dubai, UAE. References to “user” or “you” (or similar) are references to you as an individual or legal entity as the case may be.

If you use our Site and Services, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy (which includes all other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy) and agree to the Terms of Use on the Site. WHAT INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

Depending on which of our Services you use and how you interact with our Sites, we collect different kinds of information from or about you. We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together follows:

  • Profile Data includes your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses;
  • Usage Data includes information about how you use our Sites, products and services including redemption of our offers, how you use your devices to access our Sites, including the screens you visit and searches you make;
  • Special Categories of Personal Data includes details about your race or ethnicity or religion.
  • Other Data includes:
    • photos or other data uploaded onto any of our Sites by you or shared with other users of our Sites by you via our Sites;

    • your networks and connections made available to us, depending on the permissions you have granted, from your mobile and desktop devices’ address book contacts, and other social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
  • Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Site feature. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not collect the following Special Categories of Personal Data: your philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation or political opinions. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

If we learn that we have received any information directly from a child without his/her parent’s written consent, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or his/her parent or legal guardian) to inform the child that he/she cannot use the Services, and we will subsequently delete that information. If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor child, you may, in compliance with the Terms of Use, use the Services on behalf of such minor child.   1. we may share your Information with Healthcare Providers with whom you choose to schedule through the Services. For example, if you complete a medical history form using the Services in advance of an appointment and elect to share it with your selected Healthcare Provider, we may share your medical history form with such selected Healthcare Providers.
  2. provided that you choose to use the applicable Services, we may share your Information with your Healthcare Providers to enable them to refer you to and make appointments with other Healthcare Providers on your behalf or to perform analyses on potential health issues or treatments.
  3. we may share your Information with Healthcare Providers in the event of an emergency.
  4. Other Entities. To offer you our Services, we may engage with businesses who are affiliates of us and/or non-affiliated service providers (e.g. marketing companies, medical centres, government entities, regulators, professional boards, payments processers to process online transactions, etc.).You understand that it is important that such businesses have access to the relevant Information to perform their functions. We will ensure that these businesses do not use your Information for other purposes. By using our Platform, you hereby freely and specifically consent to the transfer, storage, use, and disclosure of your Information among businesses who are affiliates of us and/or non-affiliated service providers, wherever located. HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

The Information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of the UAE. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UAE who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your booking/appointment, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. WHAT SECURITY MEASURES WE APPLY

Also, our system will place cookies when you log on to our Platform and this is to ensure you have an enjoyable user experience and are able to utilise all aspects of the Platform.
